Cannot Start family sharing

Amessage pops up saying " Cannot Start Family Sharing "

my Apple id

" Is already used for shared purchases in 'my' family. Ask 'my name' to send you an invitation to join family sharing"

How can my owm Id stop me from creating one, saying that i already have one ? Its confusing. Has anyone experiencing similar issues?
