Scan Using Notes

I've scanned using the notes app before i.e. use the camera within the Notes app. The camera option within notes is no longer there. How do I reactivate it?

Are your notes housed in iCloud? That is required to use the camera option.

Check Settings > [your Apple ID] > iCloud > Notes
