I recently purchased a new Iphone 11 max and my messages have not updated. I am trying to view older picture messages and it says it will display them once messages finish indexing. This has been on going for weeks now. Ive tried all suggestions provided with no luck. Has anyone experienced this issue?

Yes with no luck. On messages it will say downloading from icloud then it will disappear. I toggle the message button on icloud off and on again and it indicates that messages have not finished downloading. Ive signed in and out of my Apple account aswell. I leave my phone connected to wifi and plugged in overnight but it doesnt seem to finish downloading.

Have you tried restarting the phone, or relaunching the messages app?
Your best option may well be to contact Apple iCloud support for assistance.
