pages app disappeared along with all my "pages" documents from my iPhone 6s Plus

Today Apple decided to update the "Pages" app and so it disappeared off my phone. When I downloaded the new version of "Pages", all my documents were missing and they are not showing in the cloud, even though they were backed up there. Where did they go? I also deleted the new app and reloaded it. All my settings are like they are supposed to be. This seems to be a glich in the cloud. How do I retrieve them? When I go to the cloud now, it says there are none, and there are no docs to recover, when before they were there!

iCloud drive has nothing. There are NO documents anywhere to be found, when they were there before the update by Apple.

iCloud drive has nothing. There are NO documents anywhere to be found, when they were there before the update by Apple. Also it has not been 30 days yet, but less than 7 since they went missing and the iCloud.com advanced settings says there is NOTHING to restore. No files.
