I just spent a bunch of money on a so-called "magic" keyboard, and it did not come with any way to connect it to my laptop. Does it just "magically" charge itself?
If it's Apple's Magic Keyboard, it should have come with a USB to Lightning cable that you use to charge it. The cable is USB-A, so you may need a USB-C-to-A adapter to connect it to a newer MacBook Pro, but you could also charge it using any USB-A charger (like the little wall warts from iPhones, etc.).
The Lightning connector is what's on iPhones.

In that case, you need to determine what nonmagical keyboard you actually bought to figure out what plug you need to charge it. There should be a manufacturer name/model on the bottom.
Maybe it's an Appel Majik Keyboard?
Thanks for the response. Apparently I have a different magic keyboard. It cannot take an iPhone lightning cable. The port is larger than a lightning connection could plug into. Hmmm.
Which of the zillions of different connectors do I need to charge up a "magic" keyboard?
