Regarding activation lock

The only way for the password to be changed is to know what email was used. There are also websites that if the phone has not been put into lost mode on the find my app it can be reset. Hope this helps.

Use Apple's iForgot service, or contact their Account Security team, or if you’re the unit's original owner, supply Apple with its purchase receipt and ask them to remove the lock.
