I am trying to use iMac mid2011 as a display w/ 16" MacBook Pro 2019 and Macbook air 2020 but unsuccessful so far! Even though I can use it successfully with a 27" iMac 2019 using the same cable!! Please help me understand why this is happening. I am using High Sierra on the 27" iMac mid2011 and macos Catalina on the macbooks and the 27" iMac 2019
2020 MacBooks (all types) NOT supported.
Mac must be running High Sierra or OLDER

Ok if the MacBook Air can't work due to its release date; the MacBook Pro is a 2019 model and still not working ..
I have included screenshots of the iMac 2019 (that connects fine with the iMac 2011) and the MacBook Pro 2019 (that doesn't want to work with the iMac 2011) and the iMac 2011.
