Iphone trade in process

I recently traded in my old iphone 6S for an iphone 11. I took it to the post office (Australia) and they gave me a receipt with a tracking number. They said they would do the packaging and send it off. I just got another reminder email from Apple saying to do the trade in before the time frame runs out or else I won’t get the reimbursement. I looked up the tracking number on the receipt and it says the device is being processed at a facility in Sydney. My main question is how long does it normally take for the trade in process to be completed?

“Generally it takes 2–3 weeks. But the sooner you send us your device, the sooner we can verify its condition and process your credit or gift card.

Recycling a device is much faster. As soon as we email you a prepaid shipping label, just send your device to our recycling partner.“ Apple Trade In - Apple
