Fixing broken iPhone SE 2020 screen

Being in a COVID hot spot is making getting a screen repair tricky/impossible. I’ve had a cracked screen a few weeks but I have AppleCare+. I make an appointment at an Apple store to get it fixed. Easy right? Apple closes all their stores in Vegas the day of my appointment. So I schedule another one at an Apple authorized bestbuy. Everyone is at least a week out, if not entirely full. I get there on my appointment day and they don’t have the correct screen replacement for the new SE. The past few days there’s been no appointments available anywhere in the city and I’ve called support and my only option seems to be a replacement for $99. Is paying the extra $70, plus having the hold on my credit card really the only option right now? It seems like their should be some kind of in between option for repairs by mail in big cities with Apple stores closed. Or is my best option really just to wait it out until stores come back whenever?

Also my battery has started to drain insanely fast, like 1% every minute or two now as well.

Unfortunately, the only option is to send it in and wait longer to not pay the extra cost, or use the Express Replacement Service.

If there are no appointments or the appointments are at least a week away at Apple Authorised Service Providers and the Apple Stores are closed, it would be better to send it in for repair.
