Apple-id locked, can’t reset due to old phone number

Gave away My old phone. Now I can’t open that phone without my old Apple-ID that I

dont use anymore. I have forgotten the password and have locked the Apple-ID.

To unlock it I need to give away a trusted phone number, but I don’t have that phone number since long time ago, so I can’t log in.

How can I solve this? The phone is useless without Fixing the wrong phone number.

I don’t have any security questions options either.

You will need to use the recovery process. The Recovery Process is an automated process and length of time it takes can vary a lot. Apple ID Support can only answer your questions. They can't intervene in or speed up the process. The article below has some suggestions to shorten the the time the process takes.
