Did you forget the Apple ID or password?
An Apple ID cannot be deleted solely by an individual unless the owner presents a formal request to Apple - https://9to5mac.com/2018/12/21/delete-apple-id-account/. With that being said, are you certain you had created an Apple ID for the iPhone 5?
