I need to remove a scam from my PC - GoToAssist

I've seen some YouTubes on how to start removing an installed app. called GoToAssist from my mac. I stupidly allowed a third party to install it and try to help with malware on one of my e-mails. After they fished around my site, they demanded a year-long contract to continue service.

I haven't seen evidence of their usage since I have two point authentication set up on most of my important sites, but I'm not taking any chances. I saw one site that did a step by step removal prior to using an app called CCleaner. Anyone familiar with it, and moreover, anyone else have this issue with GoToAssit?

Back up. If you have a backup prior to breach, use that.

Wipe the system, change all your passwords and this including your passwords on your main mail accounts, enable two-factor authentication if that’s not already enabled. Migrate your files into the new environment from your current or (preferably pre-breach backup), but not your apps.

Don’t install add-on anti-malware, nor add-on cleaners, nor add-on VPN clients, or related. If those are indtalled, don’t re-install after the wipe.

This isn’t about removing an app or installing some add-on tool, this is about assuming that a catastrophic security breach has occurred, exposing, well, everything.
