Trying to remove application from Mac

I have Webroot Secureanywhere on my Mac which I would like to remove. The program won't open for me to remove it - but when I try move the application to the bin I get a message that says I can't move it because the app is open. Going crazy here!

How else can I remove it please

I’d wonder if parts of the app are still 32-bit and that’s then malfunctioning on Catalina...

Boot into Safe Mode, and try the removal again.

Failing that—and add-on security apps have a habit of tying into the operating system just like some malware does—reinstalling macOS can be faster and more reliable. Back up, build a bootable installer as a backup plan, wipe, reinstall macOS, and then migrate across settings and docs and files and not apps.
