Making a logo spin

Hi

A very amateuristic approach to this is to
• put loggo in a separate video track
• distort it sideways so it gets thinner and thinner
• keyframe this alteration
• till it is full size again but mirrored
• make a copy that are reversed and make it play after first one

repeat this double sequense and one has faked/animated a rotation effect.

Apply a Videofilter: Perspektive / 3D-Rotation.

(I'm using the german version, as so I'm aware of the translation.)

Go to filters>perspective>Basic 3D filter.

Apply that to the logo and keyframe *Y axis rotation* to your taste. Done.
If you want a vertical or more complex spin you now know what to do.

You mean on the y axis? Try keyframing the Basic 3D filter.

What is the difference between rotate and spin?

Because that factor controls which axis to key frame.

To me rotate or spin occur on the y access.

You're right. He really wants to do a camera dolly in a perfect circle around the logo.
