Screen Time Scam

I spoke with someone claiming to be from Apple support. He asked me to go into my screen time settings and turn them on. Then asked me to go into my laptop & I said I’d call Apple directly. The numbers he was calling from were


Anyone know what this is about? What should I do now because I don’t remember all the steps I took on my phone & need to reverse them.

Can’t believe I fell for it!!

These are definitely scam phone calls. For information about scam calls and emails, see Recognise and avoid phishing messages, phoney support calls and other scams – Apple Support.


It is hard for us to know exactly what the scammers did to your device, but I would recommend checking for any apps which you do not intend to have on your device and check for any installed profiles on your device. See How to delete an app that has a configuration profile on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – Apple Support for steps on how to remove these profiles.


To ensure scammers do not gain access to your Apple ID and payment information, I'd recommend following the steps over at If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support at your earliest convenience.


If you suspect there are any other issues which the scammers caused to your device, Contact Apple Support.
