Apple iTunes emptied my gift card balance how can I get it back

Apple iTunes emptied my gift card balance of one of my iTunes accounts. I have two accounts and asked an iTunes rep to transfer my balance in one account to the other account. She got back to me and said, it was not possible but something she did emptied my account. It has been two months and I am still trying to get my gift card balance back to my apple account. Any suggestions out there.
