Calls about icloud account being accessed from multiple locations

Has anyone else received phone calls from Apple regarding my icloud account being accessed from multiple locations. Is this a scam? I keep hanging up but when I signed into my account it said someone near another town was on my account?

iPhone 11, iOS 13

It is a very common scam.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
