File Transfers in Files App

This is less of a question than it is a suggestion. But being able to see file transfer times would be helpful. At the moment, it’s not clear if files are transferring or not. If they ARE transferring, then it’s not clear how long I’ll have to wait. This can be extremely frustrating with larger video files. Right now I’m using a USB-C dongle to transfer GoPro videos from an SD card to an external HD. Are there any setting configurations that would make this easier, or am I going to have to wait for a firmware update? This is on an iPad Pro 11 inch. Not the iPad mini that is displayed at the bottom of this page.
