I am experiencing numerous daily emails of scam nature. Why did this start and how can I stop it?

How do I stop scam emails on my iCloud? Email hack I have begun receiving hundreds of spam emails overnight. I have changed my Apple ID password, but how can I stop these emails?

suspicious emails I'm getting emails such as this one in my Focused email box apple@support.icloud.com Important#Complete your some information....etc I imagine a scam? How can I tell when genuine & how can I stop these?
