MY iPhone often switches and shares my wife's iPhone location instead of mine....

MY iPhone often switches itself somehow and shares my wife's location instead of mine and hers does the same with mine. When I look at "info" in messages it will say "you are sharing the current location from Sandra's iphone". Then it gives me the option to switch it back and it's all good for a day or two and then it switches back. Her phone does the same thing.

We are on family sharing plan and it's like it gets our phones mixed up. Is there any way to fix this so it stays like I set it?

You both should have your own Apple ID for your own device(s)

Unless you're the user of the devices, do not share your Apple ID with another user.

Are you both using your own Apple ID.

Apple ID is not meant to be shared.

Thank you ckuan. I think removing her iPhone from my Apple ID Account / Device list has solved the problem. I would not have been able to find the answer without your help. Thank you.

We are because we are on the family sharing plan and I think it's because we want to have a common iphotos library for the kid's pics. She ALSO has her own Apple ID that uses for iCloud as well. Is there some setting I should turn on for one of us? I think we might be onto something here... :)

I just noticed my wife's iPhone is listed under my Account on my Macbook in system preferences>Apple ID

Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing. Should I remove her iPhone 8 from my account? Will that have any unintended consequences. Thanks for the hlep by the way.

Okay. She does have her own. Did you see the pic I posted? I have removed her iPhone from my Account. Hopefully that solves the problem. She is still showing up in Find My iPhone too so it appears it didn't have an deleterious effects.
