How to remove my account of my phone

So recently my phone stopped working, however I can not turn it on, everything in my phone is still there. I would like to know how to remove my account through my laptop.

Can you tell us why you want to delete your account?

Don'ts

If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use your device.
