trying to update from 32 byte to 64 for my printer Brother MFC 7860DW and can't find where to update.

Try adding a "new" printer to have macOS automatically download the correct driver. Recent versions of macOS should just download the drivers automatically when adding a new printer. If this is an AirPrint capable printer, then you don't need to download any proprietary drivers from Brother.
