Changing Startup applications on a MAC

How do I change my startup applications on my iMAC?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Open the System preferences, choose user and group, then login items, and remote the items from the list, then on restart menu, uptick the option to allow items to re open after a restart.
