Can I run 8 Gb of Ram on MacBookPro 3,1..

Here's what's possible:
Maximum Memory: 6.0 GB (Actual) 4.0 GB (Apple)
Memory Slots: 2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM
The largest module you can use is 4GBs. If you use a 4GB module, then the second slot has to be a 2GB module. Visit OWC, Crucial, or DataMem for reliable memory products and complete information on products for specific Mac models.
