Can’t sign into app store

Today i bought new iphone se after having been using previous generation se. When i set up my new iphone and successfully signed in with my apple id in the settings, it still showed that i was not signed in in the itunes and app store sub-setting. whenever i try to use my credentials to sign in into the appstore (or itunes or anything really) - it either times out or i get error “unable to sign in”.

then i thought maybe it has to do woth my old iphone and signed out of that. but no, now i cant download apps there either

resetting pass / phone didn’t help

really frustrating experience, still unable to download essential apps
