my mac is not supporting microsoft office after upgrade

As older office versions don't work on Catalina you have a few choices:

• Upgrade to Office 2019 or Microsoft 365 (not for free)
• download the free libreOffice for Mac: it works fine together with Office files https://www.libreoffice.org/discover/libreoffice/
• try Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote (if not already on your Mac you can download them for free at the App Store) and discover if they support your needs

Microsoft will always want you to pay for their latest products. Fortunately there are many alternatives to them. Most of them are better and some of them are free.

I have same question as well. I have Office 365 Personal bought via App Store in Dec 2019. Latest Apple updates do not apply to Word or Excel included in this package. July 2020
