Arm Processor for Older Macbooks?

As is known, apple products are not cheap. And it would be nice to really save us from intel. I'm currently preparing to buy mac and I can't postpone it because I don't have a computer. What do I do if I bought a mac with an arm processor 6 months later? Even if intel support continues for 2-3 years, it will eventually end and I may not be able to sell the mac at the end of this period. Will it replace the intel processors in older macs with arm processors only with a hardware change?

Apple is going to support their Intel Macs for years to come, this is not an issue.
