Rayz Plus: “This accessory is not supported by this device”

Bought some pioneer rayz plus about a month and a half ago. About 2 days ago plugged them in and started listening to music then after 5 minutes music suddenly stopped. Unplugged the headphones and plugged them back in to be greated by “This accessory is not supported by this device” notice. The headphones are fine as they work for a few seconds until they are cut off by my phone. The same thing happens on my other devices, ipad and older phone. Why is it suddenly not supported. There are no updates and the app doesn’t recognise that they are plugged in.

Hey Chris.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!  Thanks for your post about your earphones not working on your iPhone. We'd be glad to see what we can do to help.

Let's have you start by looking over the steps in If you see an ‘Accessory may not be supported’ alert as they're tailored to this specific issue, so they should help. Also, do other earphones work OK on your devices? Has this pair ever worked for more than the 5 minutes at a time you mentioned? If the answer to both of the last 2 questions is yes, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer for a few additional steps or options. We were able to find a page that could help at Help & Contact Us - Pioneer

Hope that helps.

Be well
