I purchased the Apple Music Family plan. My family members who had never used Apple Music before had no problem signing in. I have a family member that has a student plan and we need to cancel the student plan and allow her to sign up on family plan. She’s worried about losing her saved music if she closes student account. How does she change from student account paid by her to family share account paid by me?
This should be fine, the music won’t be lost. The best way of doing this switch would be to not cancel the student account, but instead invite the student to the Family Sharing which will automatically switch the subscription from student to family.
“If you already set up Family Sharing, everyone in your family group will automatically have access to Apple Music.
If someone in the family group already has an individual or student subscription to Apple Music, renewal of that subscription is automatically canceled when they join the family group.”
