Why am I seeing two watches on app

I recently bought a new watch and paired it. Now I see both watches on the watch app and it says I can switch back and forth between them. How do I remove the old watch from the app?

Old watch still showing in Watch app on iPhone Good day. I recently traded in my Watch 7 for the Ultra and went thru all of the proper steps to unpair and erase the 7, went very smoothly even porting the cell service over automatically. My question is, why would the 7 still show up as one of my watches in the Watch app on my iPhone? I went to iCloud and searched all devices and it didn't show there either. It's not a big deal, but I'd like to learn why and also remove it from the app if anyone here knows how. Thanks for any help.

My second Apple Watch is paired to my phone but not showing up in the watch app I have two Apple Watches. Both have the same information and show up in my phone settings. However, the newer series 8 doesn’t show up in the watch app anymore so I can’t update my screen

Follow these steps to remove your old watch;

Unpair and erase your Watch
