Can I spray paint damaged MacBook Pro case?

So, I traded a lot of laptops and computers and got ripped off by someone, he told me he was giving me something that he didn’t. What a shame.

Anywho, I got a damaged MacBook Pro i7 15” that I have been restoring, I got everything new looking except for the bottom case, with nicks, scratches, and the wrong serial number on it.

Ive already sanded it, used Goof-off, steel wool pads, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hydrogen peroxide, and I can’t get the wrong serial nor the scratches off.

I bought new feet and I have all the screws.

So my question is, Can I spray paint the bottom housing black, and will the paint stick on?
