Screen Time passcode

I need to reset my iPhone X. It won't let me without providing my "screen time" passcode. I tried my standard passcode but it doesn't work. I tired "forgot" my screentime passcode, provided my apple ID information, but apparently it isn't the same as my apple ID.

so I have no way to reset my iPhone because of the stupid screentime passcode, which I don't even remember setting up.

I hope I have stumped everyone and Apple has to come up with a patch! you shouldn't need this to reset your iPHone.

You do not have many choices to reset the Screen Time passcode which is forgotten. Please see below-

OPTION 1. If you can't remember a restrictions passcode that you set on a previous version of iOS, or you forgot your Screen Time passcode, then you need to erase your device, then set it up as a new device to ➔ How to remove the passcode. Restoring your device from a backup won't remove your passcode.
