updating to Catalina
When I start downloading update, about 1/3 of way thru get notification that internet connect was lost. have checked storage and there is adequate capacity. any suggestions

Are you using a wifi connection or a cable connection? Sometimes a wifi connection seems to loose data and then the installer won't work. I suggest, if necessary, move your computer so you can directly connect to the internet source and start the process once again after putting the old installer into the trash and then emptying the trash. If this isn't the issue, then you will need to check the integrity of your internet connections. Good luck.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
Does the standalone do any better?
