Complications don’t give option for date

For some reason, the complications available for all of my watch faces DO NOT give the option for “date.”

I don’t know what the deal is.... please help!

Im using Apple iPhone XS w 14.0 beta and Apple Watch 5 w watchOS 6.2.8.

I realize that it shows the top as off, but even when I enter the drop down list, “date” or “calendar” isn’t available.

Maybe it has to do with the iOS14 Beta that you are running? I'm running 13.6 with the same WatchOS as you and when I go to the Meridian watch face, the Sub-dial top top complication can be set to a whole array of options, including Date, which shows the day of the week and the date underneath it. Di d you use this watch face before with iOS13 and experience the same issue? When you turn the sub-dial Top complication on, what options are you given?

I get it. Totally. The actual non-Beta 14 won't land for some time, I think Apple is on record as saying "the Fall" and I won't speculate beyond that. But one easy, risk-free- possible cure, would be to reboot both you watch and your iPhone, first your iPhone and letting that fully start back up and then your watch. Can't hurt, and you may well have tried it already, but I just cured a friend of mine's watch issue (also complication related -- weather wasn't updating) by doing that...so who knows.

Either way, enjoy your new Series 5!

Have you considered deleting iOS14 Beta and going back to the current non-Beta version and seeing if the problem continues? That would at least let you know if that was the cause. I just re-reviewed my Meridian watch face and have tons of complication options, including the ones you showed originally (that I did not realized you had posted originally! :-)). Date is there for me. Deleting the Beta would be a nice controlled way of showing whether this is Beta-related problem.
