Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone have a fix?
Go to the accessibility settings, including those for full keyboard access, and make sure space bar is not set to do special stuff like you are seeing.

Have you looked at your Accessibility Settings for Hardware Keyboards?? Have you read the post where grapa2011 tells how he solved his problem?

Hi, I am having the same issue, space bar is stuck. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. I checked my accessibility and thats not the issue. If I take my ipad off and use the space bar from the screen and than place it back on the magic keyboard it sometimes works. Very frustrating. What can I do to fix this issue please.
I have the same problem with my MacBookPro.
Frequently he space bar does not create a space, I have to press much harder and frequently to get a space and it only does this erratically but often enough to be annoying. I checked the accessibility setting, that is no the issue. it has been doing this for over a year

I have new Ipad pro and magic keyboard. The magic keyboard doesn’t leave spaces between words and spacebar doesn’t work at all. Nor do the arrow keys. Rather fed up.
I solved my problem with the Pro Keyboard. It ended up being a setting.
Go to: Settings, accessibility, Hardware Keyboards. The first item is Full Keyboard Access. Turn it OFF.
I found changing this one setting cured my issue.

Updating to 13.6 did not solve the problem.
I’m using an iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard. When entering information into Numbers, some of the keys do not respond correctly. Most annoying is the space bar. It does not create a space, and hitting the space bar twice closes the spreadsheet.
