getting error cannot update App

Just got a new macbook pro and the apple store has a couple of updates, but when I try to update garageband and keynote , I get an error "Cannont Update App" GarageBand cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID. ???

The work around is to delete the app and redownload it with your current Apple ID.
