Spots (tiny white ones) on iPhone 4 screen....

Has anyone seen this? It's gotten progressively worse... (it's hard to photograph, but the "spots" you see in this picture cover the whole front panel of the phone.) If I try to wipe it off with a microfiber cloth, they fade a little, but then become more pronounced again. It seems to be slightly worse in warmer temperatures. It seems like they're under the glass, or under a coating of some sort, because there's no texture to them and they can't be wiped off.

I appreciate any thoughts....

No, as I clearly stated before (and I am holding the phone in my hand) there is NO protective cover. I removed it the day I got the phone.

I have these tiny white dots that you talk about. Heat definitely affects the iPhone and makes them more pronounced. I hate it.

Christina, can you take a better photograph that's focused on the dots and not your finger tips? Also take a close up/macro of the ear speaker hole as well as it looks as if the spots are there too. Put your Canon SD1100 in Macro (little flower icon) mode as well to take these photos. This will help with closeup focus.

There is an apparentl deformity in the edge of the glass by the tip of your little finger, which cannot be the glass.

A theory - you're not silly enough not to have removed the plastic protective film, but *is there a second one* still in place?

That deformity looks like something has whacked the thin black plastic glass surround like it's been dropped, etc.

Yes, the edge deformity is a scrape. No second film on it. I found a tweet from someone who confirmed my photo looks exactly what his was doing, and he said apple replaced it no questions asked. So off to the genius bar I go....

I know you said that there is no protective film on it...but looking at the picture and at the home button, it really looks like there is a screen protector film on it. Very strange. Let us know what the Genius Bar says.
