I have a 1st generation iPod

I need to reformat this 1st generation iPod from windows format to Mac format, restore on iTunes is not doing, anyone withe same problem.

I actually have mistaken it, I have IPod Special Edition U2. Previous owner formatted new drive with Windows.

I have managed to format it now I am trying to restore, which I am about to do, after I have read your response😊

Unless I'm mistaken the first generation iPod classic was Mac only. What operating system and version of iTunes do you have? What error message do you get when you try to restore?
