Every time I get a text message my mom will get the same text message from the same person how can I stop that

Are you and your mom sharing a single Apple ID for iMessages, FaceTime, or have you somehow associated her number with your Apple ID? See Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support.
