Brightness issue

My phones brightness keeps randomly turning down and I’m not able to get it back it pretty much sets the full brightness of my phone as 3/4 way down the bar how do I change this?

iPhone 11, iOS 13

The problem is that the brightness is turning down without the slider moving and trying to re adjust the slider doesn’t change anything. Also I turned auto brightness off when I got the phone so it’s not that

Weirdowl01,

The only other setting that should affect the display would be if something was set up under the Clock app in your Bedtime options, or if you have something set up in Do Not Disturb. Those settings should only affect the lock screen though.

If changing none of the previous suggested settings resolved the issue, it may be best to Contact Apple Support for further troubleshooting and a diagnostic test.

Hi Weirdowl01,

It sounds like what you're describing can be resolved if you Adjust the brightness on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If auto-brightness is on, the brightness slider on your device moves according to changing light conditions. You can turn auto-brightness on or off in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size.

Okay, let's check a couple of additional settings!

Under Settings > Display & Brightness, are the Night Shift or True Tone settings enabled? If so, try disabling those settings to test the issue.

True Tone is off. I always keep nightshift mode on to help my eyes but I have tried turning it off when it happens but it doesn’t help the brightness doesn’t end up changing at all
