Complete Album not working

Hi All,

I bought numerous "Hank Von ****" singles on iTunes before the Album "Dead" came out, and 3 of the singles are actually on the album. Then when the album came out I went to complete album, and bought/downloaded the rest of the album. The problem is I can now not listen to the album in its entirety and Its like I am missing those 3 tracks. I was prepared to downloaded them again but when I goto iTunes it says I have purchased them already.

Im not really sure what to do, but this is a total pain, and really fustrating! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey there, Grant!

It sounds like you've had some issues completing your purchased album in the Music app on your Mac. The singles you purchased are in a separate albums then the album itself after it was released. We've been there and can show you how to resolve this pretty easily.

First, we would remove all of the singles you purchased before the album was released and the album itself from your Mac's music library: Delete music, movies, and TV shows from your device

Quit the Music app in the Music menu > Quit Music.

Then download that past purchased album from the iTunes Store under Previous Purchases as explained here: Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books in section, "Redownload music."

When we purchase singles that are released before the album release, it will add them to your library at that time. Once the album has been released, removing the singles should resolve this after download that entire album in your purchase history.

If this doesn't solve the issue, do you use other devices to listen to this content? For example, does this happen on other Apple devices using this Apple ID?

We hope this helps and look forward to your reply if not!

You're welcome for the reply, Grant!

Let's see how we can get this sorted out for you. It sounds like one of the songs is now hidden and you haven't been able to download that complete album. If one of the songs is hidden, then we may be unable to completely download the album. Please try to use the following to unhide that song: Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books

Or you can open Music > iTunes Store > "Sign in." On the right side click "Quick Links" > Account and sign in. Enter in your account information and select on "iTunes in iCloud" > Hidden Purchase then go to "Manager" to "Unhidden."

If you were able to unhide that song, click inside of the single and then the three dots on the right side, where it normally provides the track time. Then select 'Get Info' to look at the "Details" tab. Does it have compilation checked? If so, we want to uncheck it, since it's by one band or group and not various artists.

Be sure to check for any software updates, if these steps don't help:

How to back up your Mac

How to update the software on your Mac

Lastly, we'd make sure that both your Mac and iPhone are using the same Apple ID that purchased the album.

Hopefully this helps to sort it out!

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I managed to delete the songs and singles off my iMac but still the album does not come up as complete. I have one single that is now hidden (and won't unhide) the other 2 just have the cloud icon under them, and the album is still not showing those singles in the list.

Even after I deleted, restarted, etc the issue is still here. The Album is also incomplete on my iPhone.
