iPad and iPhone language

I am struggling to have google in English and not French. I have followed the instructions I can find but to no avail and it is getting increasingly frustrating to see the majority of google sites in French. This applies to both my IPhone 6s and my iPad. Help!

Using Safari or Google app?

Should be the former, you should be able to change the language in Settings>Safari>Language.

Should be the latter, you might try and ask Google support team about that.
