Nintendo switch joycons.

Why can’t my Nintendo switch joycons work with my iPhone 11? I spent almost 1000 dollars and I thought I would be able to use my 400 dollar joycons with my iPhone 11. Don’t get me wrong, I love apple and their iPhones and iPads, but I was a tiny bit disappointed. In iOS 14, can you add Nintendo switch joycon capabilities with iPhone???!!!!
