Apple was able to get my music downloaded from my computer to iPod touch but when I added more, it would not sync

How do I get my iPod touch to sync with iTunes. The ‘sync’ button is not showing

Hello,

You cannot synchronize any Apple device with Windows Media Player. You must import the music into iTunes first.

I do believe my problem stems from Microsoft Media Player, which holds my music on my computer. Apparently it is selfish and will not share. I just bought the computer unaware that this can happen.
