My iPhone XR will not follow prompts when I call businesses that have answering services with prompts to follow to get you to a certain places. I push the appropriate number and it doesn't work. Help! This is aggravating because in this day and age, almost places are going to these answering services. I have tried things mentioned in other threads but none worked. HELP!

If you haven’t already, restart your iPhone and try again:
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If possible, test this with another number that has you use the keypad after making a call.
If the issue continues there, try this:
When in a call and noticing this issue, try swiping up to enter your App Switcher. This article shows how:
Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Locate the active call and tap on it. From there, you should be able to tap on the numeric keyboard and use it to choose those menu options.
