Shanghai transit card?

Hi,

While I was setting up my new iPhone 11 Pro there was Shanghai transit card that seemed to be per bundled in my Apple Pay. Is that normal? It was there already.

I’ve never used Shanghai transit card on any phone I’ve ever owned. I haven’t even been to Shanghai :)

Thoughts?

Regards,

Brian

Warm is normal as you’ve been working your iPhone very hard.

The Shanghai Card is gone. Well, that lessens the need to go back to the Store. Maybe a phone call there would suffice. It all depends on your comfort level, and the inconvenience associated with another store visit.

You have fourteen days from your date of purchase to exchange or refund your iPhone.

I thought about this test you should absolutely perform.

Check Settings > General > About > Model. If you don’t see a model number in the form “Annnn” where n is a number, tap the row until you do.

You should see A2160, which is the iPhone 11 Pro for U.S./Canada. If you see A2217, you have the China model which needs to be returned.

This just happened to me too. I just got an iPhone SE 2nd generation. I live in San Francisco and was surprised to see a Shanghai Transit Card in my wallet. It didn't have an actual number in it, however.

I had the exact same experience. Once I sync'd my old phone and the new one the Shanghai Transit Card vanished. Just came here to post the same question. Did you call Apple?
