In Apple News+ I’ve got a few mags I’m reading and those along with new issues of those I’m following no longer appear in the app under My Magazines. Is this a change to the service or is my app not working properly?

From reading your post, it appears a few of your magazines you were reading in your Apple News+ no long appear in My Magazines, correct? We're here to help you take a look in to that!
Let's check and make sure the iCloud Apple News is toggled on. Head to Settings > your name > iCloud > Toggle News off and on (green). See if the My Magazines have returned:
