Problem with the proximity sensor

there is a problem with the proximity sensor, the display does not always turn on when the phone is moved away during a call or at the end

Proximity sensor iPhone 14 Pro Max Have an issue with proximity sensor. When I receive a call and see the slide to answer there is lock icon in dynamic island. I put it in my ear and screen goes off (correct) but when I move it away from my ear (to see the screen), the screen has a delay to show for 2 seconds. If I unlock the phone the delay goes away! Of course everything works ok when I call someone (because the phone it's already unlocked). Proximity sensor works great then. So what I mean is that proximity sensor is slow to lighten screen when the phone is locked. With my previous iPhone 13 Pro everything is ok. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a hardware issue, bring it to an Apple Store for a diagnostic: https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
