I thought the glass on the 11 Pro Max was supposed to be super strong? :(

I was wearing nylon jogging pants yesterday and after flying my DJI Mavic, I took my phone out of the controller and while sitting on the landing of a 3-step staircase to put my stuff up, I mistakenly placed my phone on my thigh and it immediately slid off and fell on the first step (literally 15 inches) WITH a glass screen 'protector' on it. I looked at it and I was like "DANG i cracked my screen protector... but at least my phone is ok..." but lo and behold, when I took the screen protector off, there are two fine spiderweb cracks across the home row of my phone... I usually keep my phone in a case (and never drop it) but you can't put the phone in the Mavic controller with a case on it... but the new glass was supposed to survive all kinds of drops... and it didn't... it's not SO bad that I can't use it or anything.... its jus that my phone has been "perfect" since I got it and now it isn't... and from a minor mishap...

I guess I'll be making an appointment soon... since my phone is still under warranty...

Greetings,

I'm sorry that you've had this experience with your iPhone. Other than the damage to the iPhone, I'm glad that everything else is in working order.

Apple has a 1-year Limited Warranty with all devices, according to the warranty sheet, it does not cover any type of damage to the screen. https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

If you have the AppleCare+ Warranty or aren't sure what the estimated out-of-pocket costs will be, you may review this page here: https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair/service/screen-replacement
