I'm trying to update to the new operating system but i get a warning that says I don't have enough disk space. I've emptied trash, etc., but it looks like the majority of storage is taken up in mail. how do open up more storage?

I see that your hard drive is full, here is some recommendations, Before you read the recommendations, how much space do you have left on your hard drive?
-Delete useless applications, and documents.
-Turn on auto empty trash.
-Optimize storage.
-Reduce Clutter
How much free space is on the Hard Drive?
Have you emptied the Trash recently?
